This piece is one in a very limited collection, which uses canvas as opposed to vinyl as the main medium. The serigraph elements and color ways were applied to two pieces of canvas. These canvas pieces were then cut into strips and woven together. A very light sanding process followed, finished with a coat of water-based polyurethane.

An obvious homage to Topo Chico! A few years ago I became obsessed with this beverage, so much so that I incorporated this imagery into a small series of paintings. I liken this series to a modern take of Andy Warhol’s Coca-Cola and Soup Can series. For a look at other work in this series click here.
