This work features silkscreened imagery appropriated from high school yearbook photos of well-known musicians, capturing them at a formative moment—before fame, persona, and public mythology took shape. Through layers of acrylic serigraph and hand-painted detail on clear industrial-grade vinyl, the piece freezes these youthful, unguarded faces in time. Stretched across a handcrafted wood panel, the surface becomes both portrait and artifact, exploring the gap between origin and icon. By recontextualizing these early images within a fine art framework, the painting questions celebrity, identity, and the subtle traces of creative potential visible before the spotlight ever hits.
