A small abstract painting on clear industrial grade vinyl. Two pieces of vinyl are painted in patterns by hand then each cut into strips and woven together over a hard wood frame. After the weaving process is complete I paint the surface with a carefully chosen composition of color. This is done in several layers creating a weathered gradient effect when it is sanded. On this piece I finished the sides out with a thick layer of acrylic paint encompassing the front. The strip paintings are then sealed in a water based sealant.
