Drawing from the aesthetics and psychology of 1970s self-help culture, Self-Hypnosis reimagines the cover of a vintage self-hypnosis LP through layered silkscreen prints on vinyl. The appropriated imagery—nostalgic, surreal, and suggestive—is printed, then precisely cut and woven into a tight grid across a handcrafted wood panel. This act of deconstruction and reassembly echoes the mental repetition and reframing at the heart of hypnotic suggestion. Blending appropriation, process, and material tension, the piece meditates on belief, transformation, and the seductive visual language of self-improvement.
