Riffing from a previous work, “Which Way to the Jester’s Court”, this edition uses a series of triangles to form a square pattern. The pattern is then cut into strips and applied to a birch circle panel creating a unique design. For me, the triangles become arrows or directions. When looking at the piece as a whole the arrows appear to point in varying directions, hence the title. The color ways were inspired by a 70s palette, commonly seen in the southwest during this time. Think Santa Fe and Sedona...
