ABQ Film Festival Residency

A body of work in dialogue with the multifaceted legacy of Dean Stockwell, this series was created for the Albuquerque Film Festival Residency. Drawing inspiration from Stockwell’s dynamic career—spanning avant-garde film, television, and visual art—the work responds to themes of identity, duality, and transformation that recur throughout his oeuvre. Materially and conceptually layered, the pieces echo Stockwell’s restless creativity and genre-defying presence, translating cinematic rhythm and symbolic tension into visual form. This body of work serves both as a reflection on Stockwell’s enduring influence and as an exploration of the space between performance, persona, and perception.
