his large abstract painting begins with a reverse-screened half-tone pattern printed onto clear, industrial-grade vinyl. Two printed sheets are cut into strips and woven together over a custom hardwood frame, creating a dense, tactile surface built from repetition and structure.
Once woven, the piece is painted in multiple carefully composed layers of acrylic, then sanded back to create a weathered gradient that reveals fragments of the half-tones beneath. The sides are finished with a thick wrap of acrylic that extends the painting’s presence beyond the front face. The final work is sealed with a water-based protective finish.
