Movements In The Garden is constructed from printed vinyl that is cut into narrow strips and woven together over a wood panel. The woven structure creates a shifting grid where repeated patterns are interrupted by subtle variations in color, texture, and alignment.
The composition draws from the quiet rhythms found in natural growth. Greens, yellows, and earth tones move across the surface like changing light through leaves, never settling into a fixed image. The woven construction slows the eye, encouraging movement across the painting rather than toward a single focal point.
By breaking the printed surface apart and rebuilding it through repetition, the work transforms familiar patterns into something less descriptive and more experiential.
